My chickens have come down with fowl pox at a horribly inconvenient time. Not only do I have chicks on the way, it's slaughtering time! I have a couple questions for anyone with answers.

1) Can you eat chickens with fowl pox?

2) Can you eat the eggs of chickens with fowl pox?

3) Any tips on how to speed this process up and deal with fowl pox while they have it?

Also, is it too late to separate those you have it? I just noticed it today. If I clean waterers, and such, will it at least slow the spread?

Fowl pox is not transmittable to humans. I've eaten eggs from my birds when they had fowl pox. I dont see any reason why the meat wouldnt be ok to eat too. Fowl pox will work its way through your flock, no way to speed it up nor prevent it. It's possible some may or may not get it, only time will tell. It will eventually go away on its own.
Mosquitos normally carry the virus. Try to eliminate standing water.
