I am a member of an Iguana Rescue group and one of the BIG things we are fighting for is to get live animals as prizes at fairs and such banned. Not only goldfish, but baby iguanas are often used. Not only are iguanas, care intensive and take a lot of time and effort to tame, they can carry samonella (and kids are famous for not washing hands!). IF they do survive, they can live up to 15 years and can get over 6ft long and have teeth that easily strip flesh and tear chunks out of humans. And the people who win them rarely have the slightest clue.
