Grrr! The nerve of that little rascal!

My little Bantam Cochin chick started crowing at three weeks old...no biggy! I've heard of this before and his crow is kinda cute! Well now he is six weeks old and he is mounting my hens! SIX WEEKS OLD! The little rascal has been saddeling up to my silkies and mounting them. Has anyone ever had this happen with a chick so young???

Wow no. I have had a lot of chilkens, my dad used to raise them for show and fun and I have raised a ton of chicks but never heard them crow that early or start having sex at 6 weeks. Maybe you need to sit him down and explain the facts of life!!

I'm thinking he is like the little boy who wakes up one morning and discovers a new toy and has no idea what to do with it... He jumps on the girls but it seems to be a dominance thing rather than any type of connection... he is still clueless :O)
