I found some 108" quilt backing fabric online for a great price and no shipping so I do not have to piece the backing (relief!), plus another teal print I hope will look okay when it gets here. So far, I've done 9 blocks, though I hope to mix them into the entire piece with other fabrics so I dont have the same ones side by side, though it's acceptable to do.

I love Rose and teal together. I use it in my bedroom, master bath and kitchen. The dinningroom and livingroom is merlot and pine green. That is the downstairs. Upstairs is our son's and he has deep greens, deep purples & pumpkin golds. No mint green and no Lavenders for him.

I'm back! Hopefully, it's not temporary! Shocked when I checked the modem was back up.

I have 12 blocks done and some fabric coming, including 108" backing fabric for the quilt. I love in the log cabin how the pattern emerges as you add blocks.

We've had to have them replace maybe three modems over the past 15 years. I had the thought that they were faking a modem meltdown just so they could charge us the higher rent, so that's why I decided to check it today and voila! It was up again. Crazy stuff. They'd already put one on the way but my husband called and said forget it, he would send it back and to be sure we didn't get charged that rent. They have a monopoly on internet here, but not for long. Another company is running fiber optic cable down the road that our little neighborhood is off of and when they get it here and it's available, we'll be telling our phone company, YOU'RE FIRED!

Our phone and Internet is extremely costly and they are the only game in town. Our cells now work
off our land lines. Nothing but cattle farms & Christmas tree farms around here. If someone comes out this way off the beaten path, they really stand out. Not many people here and everyone knows everyone else and everyone else's business too. Not exactly the welcome wagon that comes out to greet strangers around here but a new phone and Internet company would be well received. That is not happening.

Was sick all day myself, spent all day in bed, some stomach thing from last night's chili I guess. No idea why it doesn't sit well with me. So, I didn't get to go to Hobby Lobby or work on the quilt today, but I have 22 blocks finished.
