Destiny, I don't have a problem with how you handled your situation. I have had to do the same with foxes, racoons, 'possums and roos. They are all cute babies but become serious predators/nuiances. We do what we have to do and someone living in one situation has no right to judge how another handles their situation. I hate it when a thread goes crazy on here. Ironically my brothers had foxes, racoons and possums as pets also.
As for the "relocators", please don't relocate your problem predator or pet to my neighborhood. I have all the pets I want and more predators than I can handle. Your playful puppy or kitten you grew tired of isn't likely to walk up to a house in the country and get instantly loved and adopted. The humane society around here put the dog catcher out of business and now the HS often won't take cats or dogs and never come out and catch them. Stay dogs and feral cats can become some of the worst predators around. I would be interested in non lethal methods of handling these problems that does not involve relocating them to be someone elses problem.
