That really is not right! They are soo expensive, i wish i could by eggs but they reach $$$$. i hope you find out who stole your Roo!!! Search craigslist and eggbid in case they try to sell him! Make a report as well~ JERKS

I would call the cops and make a report if he's worth alot. People are just cruel.

Yes, file a report if you haven't done so already. If you have other nice birds, the thief will be back for more. When you catch him next time, you want to be able to show proof that he has been there before.

Sorry for your loss. Earlier this year somebody opened one of my runs and injured a beautiful Golden Cuckoo Marans pullet. I think somebody tried to catch her and injured her by grabbing her legs. There was a large and protective Black Jersey Giant roo in the run with her. I can only assume that he put an end to their efforts. She didn't recover from her injuries, and we eventually lost her. It was funny how they knew to go after one of the most valuable birds I had and not the others.

Thank you all for the support, yes I will file a report, and I do figure he will come back. We will also go back to locking our farm gate, and I am going to put some baby monitors out by the pens if I can find them with enough range.

Could it be one of your customers or a visiting buyer for your chickens? That would be the first thing on my mind.
