oh yeah, the money I spend on these critters make my hubby grumpy too.

The roos aren't TOO noisy, yet. A couple of them have started to crow, but they don't do it very often. The older 'dad' Roo is the loudest, he crows all the time - but he is going to be the first to go because he is also aggressive towards me. I think I will try and take him to the auction this weekend and see how it all works.

I just found the post update in the junk folder.

So the other Auction and the one that is every weekend is in Enumclaw. It is the Enumclaw Sales Pavilion. It is located just west of town on State HWY 164 aka Auburn-Enumclaw highway.

Ive hatched a few maran eggs and so far I have 2 Black Copper Maron roosters and 1 that is suppose to be BCM, that I hope is a pullet. Ive also got a 2 week old chick that Im not sure if its a rooster or pullet.

Im really hoping......I was thinking of maybe getting a couple of pullets that are getting close to laying. But I will keep you in mind for when I want some dark maran eggs to hatch. I would rather buy them from someone that I can pick them up from.

I want to go down to Chehalis and see how all that works. Maybe this Saturday. If I can talk my hubby into going.

He calls me The Chicken Lady because I love my chickens..

I met someone who was taking some chickens to the auction in oakville. That was the first I heard about that one. I think Im going to go down and see about the one in Chehalis. Ive got to many chickens now but want some older Marans. Dont really care, just some that lay dark brown eggs. I have some that will lay green and some baby ees to lay some blue eggs. But that will be a while...

Also where are you at in Western Washington? Im in Olympia......
