Hello, I have an Orpington roo who has always been friendly and sweet. He recently started to charge my 4 year old nephews and jump up in the air a couple feet away from them and scares the crap out of them. I always thought it was because they were at his level and he didn't quite understand them? My Anatolian shepherd taught him a lesson one day and he just ignored my nephews after that. Today they were over and he flat out attacked one of them. Is there a way to stop him from doing this? He's never attacked anyone else. I've heard that roosters will attack people who wear certain colors and my nephews wear a lot of blue which the one was wearing today and they were wearing last time he went after them. Mythbusters proved that bulls don't care about the color red lol. So what about roosters and the color blue? It sounds fishy to me.

I have a barred rock who would attack my granddaughter and I especially if we wore the colour red! Well I put a stop to that by catching him and just carrying him around for 20 mins or so...whilst talking to him about who the real boss of the coop! ( had anyone heard me do this I would have been committed!)
I did this twice over a period of 2 months and that was about a year ago and we have never had another occurance again!
Good luck!
