I am new to this crazy chicken love affair. resently my barn cat brought me 2 kittens she decided shoukd be on their own. They were VERY wild when we finally got them in a dog creat to tame them down I didn't have any place to put it so I put it in the new chicken coop. The next moring there were 2 little chicks with the kitten so I just let the kittens have run of the coop. Now every sleeps in a big pile most nights the kittens are in the middle of everyone. By the way their names are Coop and Roost will get pics soon

Good grief! I had no idea kittens would take up with Chickens. and are those guineas in there, also? Can't believe they would let the kittens get close. That is great. Such cute pictures. Thanks for sending.

Our kitten (found in the woods a few weeks ago) has decided the ducks are his littermates. He'd rather be outside playing with them than anywhere else. They are about 5 times his size so his usual game is to run through the bushes along the fenceline and let them chase him, lie down and wait for them to come, and (usually) jump away just before Baka bites him gently on the foot.

He has a healthy respect for the chickens though. It seems the chickies must think anything I bring in my hands is food, and I brought him to the run the first day I had them outside, and set him down just outside it, to let them see each other and check his reaction. They mobbed the fence and tried to bite him through the wire. He wants to be NOWHERE NEAR them now, which kinda suits me because he's a real hunter in the making and they are not much bigger than he is (the banties are smaller).

Love the kitties sleeping with the chicks and guineas though. Too cute.

I thought I might add I have a cat that looks just like your kitten with dark ears. Does yours have blue eyes? Here is a pic of Izzy in the nest box while the girls are out free ranging.
