These chicks are about 12 weeks old. So far I think they are girls, but that can change on a dime as we all well know. Any idea what would make up this mutt combo? I am thinking Leghorn X EE? One has a beard, the other does not. Both are white with black spots, with straight combs. I rehomed one other one that looked rooish - exactly the same as these two but had rust on the head and wing so probably a boy. They also seem a bit small for their age, so thinking maybe a banty got thrown in the mix somewhere.

I think you are right on the leghorn/ee mix. Both look girly so far too.

I think you're on the right track...these girls are related right?

Quote:As far as I know. These were mystery eggs not from my chickens, but by the look I assume they have at least one parent in common. [IMG]

Just an update.. pics will follow later, but I believe these to be both girls. at 16 weeks, they look exactly the same, no saddle feathers and just a bit of pink. They are still very small, so I am thinking bantam EE x leghorn. [IMG]
