A WINNER!!!!

And Easter Egger, which is NOT an Ameraucana. Ameraucana is a pure breed. Many people think they are the same. Many hatcheries call their Easter Eggers Ameraucanas which is incorrect and misleading. An Easter Egger is a mix that has a blue egg laying gene which most often will lay a green or blue egg, but can also lay brown eggs, it depends on what the lineage is and the rooster will determine the color influence on the offspring.
She is of a typical pattern for an Easter Egger, but they can look like any pattern or color, again, depending on the genetics that made it up. I have an EE who is Black and lays brown eggs. Go figure. Her name is Henry because until she laid an egg, I couldn't be sure if she was a hen or Henry. The name stuck.

Also, if a chicken does not breed true, then it is safe to say, it is not pure of breed. If it is off-color, it does not mean it is not pure of breed, it is just off-color. If it is actually crossed with something that makes it not breed true, it is still a mutt.

Easter Eggers are not just mutts. They are also Ameracaunas that do not meet the standard.

The Ameraucana Breeders Club defines an Easter Egg chicken or Easter Egger as any chicken that possesses the blue egg gene, but doesn’t fully meet any breed descriptions as defined in the APA and/or ABA standards. Further, even if a bird meets an Ameraucana standard breed description, but doesn’t meet a variety description or breed true at least 50% of the time it is considered an Easter Egg chicken.

This is from the Ameracauna website.

Hence the term PURE BREED. To be a pure breed, they must meet all the specifications of that breed. Which is what that says, and what I said.

X2 unlike the horse breeds and so forth, chickens dont come with papers, only the chickens that match the breed to the dot (okay, maybe a off color, a defect that could happen in breeders still maek them that breed, but not SQ ) that what makes raising chickens fun. yes, i dont like the fact that EE are sold the wrong breed, and i would like that to stop, but none the less i still love ours.
