Guess the breed-Chicken

Very good! I was confident you'd eventually figure out #2, but #1.... that is a HARD one.

Here are all the hints I can give you for #1...
-Canadian
-Henspurs
-Vulture hocks
-Named indirectly after a Lake
-Heterozygote Pink Earlobes
-Less than 60 breeding adults currently alive
-Only two breeders are known to be breeding these fowls currently.


Maybe you have to Bow out of this one!

Indeed... The only Canadian breed I can find is the Chantecler, and for a minute I thought maybe Partridge Chantecler with a single comb, but no... She looks more like a Welsummer, but those are from the Netherlands...

I think you may have missed the biggest hint I gave... or I hid it really well.

But I'm glad you know she's not a Light Brown Leghorn or an OEGB! I was sure somebody was going to guess that!

And that's something I always find funny! Take it from a canuck - there are alot more native canadian breeds than the Chanty! But it's the only breed that ever gets publicity!
