I must have gotten lucky with the schipperke. You can't forget, there is always a diamond in the rough, he would melt in my arms. I had more problems with some of the Golden retrievers and boxers we had. Tatonka was homed as pet quality not for show. He was a guard dog for his owners property.

I don't consider them being that way "rough", its correct for the breed.

Boerboerels are a fairly new breed, and even newer to the US, so there is a lot of variation in type, as well as some unscrupulous sorts crossed bullmastiff, boxer, great dane, etc in there and called them pure. Sad, but it happens a lot in newly introduced breeds.
