Hi

I hope I don't sound rude but I see you are from England I wanted to tell you that the hen that you call a "Black Rock", we in the US call them, Black Sex-links, Black Stars, and some times Red Rocks because they are a cross of a Rhode Island Red on a Barred Rock hen, so they were originally called Red Rocks.
Our pure "Black Plymouth Rocks" in the US do not have red in their hackle feathers, they are solid black.
Sorry but I just saw where a lot of people were posting "Black Sexlink" or "Black Star" and you were telling them it was'nt correct and I wanted to clear that up. Thanks
