Guess the Breed--Horse!

Trakehner? I know they are usually bay, though. He's got to be a warmblood of some type, though!

Eggsoteric got it! He's a Hanoverian :)

Thank you SO much gryphon... He's built a bit downhill so its been a process. A compliment like that means a lot!

I think I have seen this photo before.... I can not think of the trainer, but..... Is he not a famous dressage trainer????? I cannot for the life of me remember his name..... Sorry!!!!!

And if it is....... Wow, what a chance of a life time to get to take a lesson or two from him.

I doubt this photo has been passed around unless it was on the photographer's website? The clinician is Alfredo Hernandez. He is from Spain and was Hilda Gurney's assistant at one time I believe. He's based in California now. He is an excellent dressage trainer in general but his specialty is teaching piaffe and passage. He's incredibly talented working with horses on the ground. He comes up here several times a year and I ride with him whenever I can as the piaffe/passage work has been a very helpful tool with my horse in other areas of our training. He's a super funny guy and really fun to watch :)

Hi,

It is him, I did see this photo on a website. I will try to go back and find it and send you a link. I think it was part of the photos for an up-
coming clinic.

Ah, he's just gorgeous!

Since no one's going..........How about a cross breed? This foal belongs to a friend of mine. It was an accidental breeding (on the part of the barn manager--my friend was livid that her 29 yr old mare had gotten bred, for the SECOND time, and the manager didn't bother to inform her!)

Here is the yet un named foal.

And the foal's mom, Leona
Baby is an American, European mix. Would make a great sport horse.
