What a perfect Medicine Hat!

How is she even close to a medicine hat?.....medicine hats are nearly all white with a patch of color over their ears/poll and on their chest.....even if you reversed it a big bald face isn't even close to a the called for "hat".....​

Around here, the filly is what we consider medicine hats.

But medicine hats are named for the horses native americans found sacred.....which were mainly white with a patch on the head/ears and a chest shield....how can you change the definition of something determined by US history? While this filly is truly gorgeous....I don't see how she or any similarly marked horse could ever be considered a medicine hat...​
