Guess the Silkie genders :)

I have four silkies. From my experience, if the fluff on top of the head looks "sharper" and goes backwards then it's a boy, or if it's started to part down the middle or developed a red thing at the top of the beak. If it's female, the fluff sticks on end and straight upwards. I know, doesn't help much does it?

for reference... the silkies here are about 10 weeks old. The one at the back is my hen, the one at the front is my rooster. His head feathers look sharper than hers in this picture...

Thanks for all the input everyone! I am 99% certain that #1 is a cockerel and #2 is a pullet. #1 is growing a mulberry comb and has the beginnings of little mulberry wattles, and #2 still looks about the same. #1 is also more "spirited" than #2.

Aoxa, that is crazy how grown and fluffy your girl looks at 8 weeks! (She is absolutely adorable, btw!) I know these two were 7 weeks at the time because I have had them since they were only a week old, got them from a breeder so I know their exact hatch date. They do seem slow growing to me, they are just now getting their beards and their top knot hasn't fully grown in yet. I'll try to get an updated pic today.

Update: #1 is definitely a cockerel. He started crowing 2 days ago.
