Guess what? Chicken squat!

I just got two very certain squats from 2 of my 3 barred rock pullets!

So eggs ANY MINUTE now, right?!!? Should I stand around with my catchers mitt?!
I'm sooooo excited!

So exciting!!! My BR's have been squatting too, and have started laying this past week. They are 24 weeks now.

Mine were a good 2-3 weeks before they were laying once they started squatting. Drove me nuts. Finally started 22-23 weeks. But it is VERY exciting! Congrats and happy laying!

They are right at 20 weeks....it's so fun going to check for eggs every morning now that there is an actual chance of getting one. Ive been checking since Christmas knowing there really wasnt even any point! Who would have thought an egg would hold such excitement. Of course my friends think I'm nuts

6/6 chickens have been squatting for three weeks
4/6 chickens have been laying for one week
2/6 chickens better not squat around me again until they show me an EGG!

yeah... don't hold your breath...
