I've seen my chickens eat mice often. They really love them.
First time I saw them eat a gopher was a bit surprising though! I was in the pen when I saw a little mound of dirt raise up, all the chickens saw it and came running like they knew (they probably did). One of the roosters scratched at it til the gophers head popped out, and the pirhana frenzy began. Nothing but a small bone or two left in about 30 seconds flat!
