I like Angie n Maine's guess of White-faced Black Spanish... I'd say, with the hints, maybe crossed with a Silver Duckwing OEG hen... ? (Sort of a wild guess.) Very pretty boy.

Yes, Silver Duckwing OEG would give the Silver in the hackles and saddle. Maybe even Golden duckwing, because the black of the WFBS could dilute the gold... Mmmmm. The long earlobes though...that is so WFBS. I can't think of another breed that has the long white earlobes.

Sometimes it's nice to guess when there actually IS an answer out there somewhere. Most times, guessing is just guessing, but you never really know how close you've gotten.

His mother was a Brown Game Hen ( don't know what breed) and his Father was a Fayoumi. It's hard to tell but his hackles and saddle are brown, his tail is green/black. I'll post pictures of his woman and new babies. I love his white earlobes.

Off topic, but what type of barrier/netting are you using to keep the babies enclosed?

They are in a chain link dog kennel with chicken wire around the bottom. What you see in the photo is shade cloth hung on the south and west sides. The babies can get through the cage but never go far from mom. They are only a couple days old.

Wow...I was way off!! Fayoumi...weird, aren't they Egyptian? Where on earth did he get those long earlobes?

All his brothers had those earlobes too. I was given his father by a friend. I didn't know what breed he was until a few days ago. I'm hoping to raise more just like him. They are a real hardy bird.
