I'm so excited....today I walked back to the aviary and I noticed that the ringed teal female wasn't in the pond with the rest of the ducks. When the ringed teal male saw me approaching, he made his noise that he makes sometimes. He was warning his mate because I heard some noises and she popped her head out of one of the nest boxes! I can't wait, she's probably just trying to find a good spot now, but she may be laying eggs soon!
