Guess what I just found out. Thinking I had two dominiques, we really have one dominique and one barred rock. We were wondering why the two had different combs.... Good to know neither are roosters, because that would have been our secound guess. Anyways, we wanted a barred rock...

I have read that a lot of hatcheries sell barred rocks and list them as dominiques. It seems that the true dominique is a rare bird.
