I can't wait for them to hatch!

So let me get this straight, 50-56 days for incubation, stop turning at 49, keep temp at 97.5 entire incubation period, 30-35% humidity for first 49 days, 50%-55% for lockdown?

Thanks so much! I am SO geeked!

I Have 3 in the bator now, it's my first time hatching Emu's. They are due to stop turning next Sunday, I am getting very nervous! I want to float test, but I think it is still too early....

Let me know when you figure out how to float test!

Actually just got advice from a fellow emu hatcher, Mitch. He said to fill a tub or sink with enough water to be able to more than cover the eggs, and have it at about 97 degrees. Let the water settle, then gently lower the eggs in. His dud sank and his good ones floated and eventually wiggled in the water.

I actually just took my eggs out and balanced them on the table. After a few seconds they began rocking on their own indicating a wiggling chick!
