Guinea art. I need honest opinions

I wanted to post here instead of the hobby forum because you all know guineas the best

I’ve always been big into a wide range of crafts and ways to be artistic without drawing or painting because I suck at it
I refer to myself as a jack of all trades and master of none type. That said, I can handle harsh criticism and highly respect it. So total honesty please.

This weekend is my husbands grandma’s birthday and his grandparents anniversary. So big day!
I wanted to make something for her because she is a wonderful, kind, gracious woman who has the biggest They have always had a working farm and guess what they keep on the farm? That’s right! Guineas! She is the one that got me thinking about guineas in the first place.
Going off of the guinea connection I wanted to make her something “guinea”.
This is what I came up with

Does it look recognizable as a guinea?
It’s a light catcher ment to hang on a window. Though, I think the hanging crystals make it look like a Dreamcatcher

Very cool!! To nail the idea home you could put a small guinea feather wound through the middle when you give it to her if you wanted. Either way, beautiful!

I would form the open wire at the center, over the Guinea wing into a heart.
Oh, make one for sale, please!!! I'd buy one in a heart-beat! Oh, no, bad dog, down, down, Bennie, this is a special gift for a loved one.
Anyway, this should tell you: I love it!!! Great job! Very creative! Wonderful materials!

It’s lovely! It looks like a Mystic Eye guinea Dreamcatcher! It’s an acknowledgement that all of us guinea keepers need to catch some good vibes to help us successfully keep our guineas... I see an eye at the center of the guinea figure and I like that! I also love the idea of going full on Dreamcatcher and adding some guinea feathers. Very cute indeed; your grandma will love it!

Thank you all for the kind words. I feel so confident with things when I finish, but the more I look at my work the more I get unsure and start to dislike it I don’t want to give something as a gift if it looks dumb.

I love the idea of incorporating feathers! My only worry is making it look even more like a dreamcatcher. Haha. I’ll play around with it and see what I can come up with. I just happen to have a collection of guinea feathers I want to make jewelry with them.

That is an awesome idea! I’m a little hesitant to change the wire on this one, but I really want to do that now that you mentioned it! I’m going to make a second one now. Lol If it turns out right I’ll just swap them out.

I’ve only sold a few things in the past. I have a weird fear of selling things I make I will think about it though

It does look kinda like an eye, doesn’t it
With feathers added to the crystals it would make a cool looking dreamcatcher. That’s not the route I wanted to take this one, but it would be a cool look for sure!
