Usually with my Hens it's after after they lay around 20-24 eggs, in a nest somewhere. Sometimes less, sometimes more. If you keep collecting the eggs, a Guinea Hen may end up broody after a month or so on as few as 3-5 eggs. And then there's always gonna be that 1 Hen that lays a bunch of eggs and does not ever go broody on it
. If they hatch their keets and you collect the keets, it takes about a week or 2 for the Hen to start laying again and start all over. My Guinea Hens will lay anywhere from 100-150 eggs per season (which I always collect and incubate or consume), depending on the weather. Extreme cold or extreme heat always seem to decrease their laying #s.
