We just noticed today during out afternoon small feed time that one guinea (smallest of the group) was being attacked by 3 bigger ones with the rest following suit! They were going after this one hardcore.. What would be causing this?! I got in the pen and managed to grab the one being picked on and separated into a crate for the time being.. When we faced the crate so it could see the others, they all started trying to get to it through the fence. This is our first flock of guineas and we are still in the learning process! id say they are maybe 3-4 months old... help please?!

Well... Either they are all male and ganged up on the runt (very likely), or its your only female and all the males were trying to breed her. Guinea can be downright NASTY when coming "of age"... It sounds like a male that the rest don't like :(

Oh, males just chitter, and females do this annoying " Buckwheat Buckwheat buckwheat" sounding call...

I have 4. 1 male and 3 female. My male is kinda mean to one female. She follows them around but if she gets to close he will run her off. What could be causing him todo this. I got then around april 1st.

Strange... Sure its female? She might be sick or something if he chases her away; some birds can tell and don't want to "be with" a sick bird, and will chase them away from their "healthy" family... I've never seen a female necessarily picked on like that, unless they were mating. If course, April... They would be reaching maturity right now. All sorts of hormones ;)

I know we have found some eggs. So I'm sure breeding is happening. She doesn't seem sick at all. She eats and drinks. I just noticed him kinda pushing her away. Definitely a girl noise
