Guinea Egg Size

Yes, you can eat most every fowl egg - quail, pheasant, guinea, chickens, duck, geese, turkey, emu, rhea, ostrich - and more.

My Guinea eggs are smaller than yours and same shape (look like my Fizzle chicken eggs) and also they look like small Turkey eggs.
Here in Brazil they call Guinea hens Angola hens, an have different types and colors, I have a pair of large Pearls and a smaller all white one.

There are many types and colors here too. I prefer these larger pearl guineas. The white guineas are delicious when roasted young like a cornish game hen. These larger breeds are still too boney to dispatch that early.

miss prissy,, how young? i have a bunch "nugget size, hehe,, and wanted to try a couple,, was gonna try 1 of my big dark ones. i have only seen a very few white ones,, we get the "grey" and "silver" ones,, some pied,, but i thin i have 1 white one.

The ones we did several years ago where about 4 - 6 weeks old. Not too plump and not too boney but still a nice 'gourmet' single serve size. I would weigh them first and kind of calculate the meat to bone ratio by feeling them too.

thanks
