Well DH and I had to help the other 2 keets in their shell this morning but both are out now. Looks like the membranes dried out too much. I re-read the huge thread on humidity and we think we figured out what went wrong. (that's the problem with reading that thread a month ago and NOT writing down the pertinent points! I mis-remembered some things.) Don't think the incubator was dry enough. Although DH and I still arguing about how much humidity at the end of incubation.
But though these last 2 guys seem a little awkward they are peeping and trying to get around. The other two look great. No sign of the other 37 but I'll leave them for a couple more days.
Next try will be chicken eggs.
Oh and these 4 keets look like either they will be purples, though they look similar to pieds. Guess I'll have to wait a few weeks to know that for sure!
