The Jann family is very excited b/c our guinea eggs have started to pip today (Day 26).

We have 8 that looked great when we candled before lockdown. So far 2 blue's and 1 Pearl have pipped -- they started this afternoon. Hoping to have some cute keets when wake up! What a fun way to finish off our homeschool year -- the last 2 days for us! :)

Excellent!!!

We wanna see pics!!!

Still pipping here in Greenville, SC :) 4 Pips now! 1 of them has some of the shell off and the membrane of the shell has been broken -- fun watching it move around and we can see the beak :)

The kids are doing testing today so in between sections they stretch their legs and come check on the guinea's :)

Pictures as soon as they are done!

Here they are -- our first 2 guineas (one blue and one pearl) finally made an appearance about 4pm today -- a full 24 hours after the pipping began. We have two more getting closer to coming out and another that has pipped and is moving all over the place. We have 3 Lavendar eggs that looked great the day we candled before lockdown but none of them have pipped -- praying they are just slower.

We are in LOVE -- we loved hatching chicks and love all of them (almost 8 weeks and almost ready for the coop outside) but boy these guineas are darn cute!

Cute!!!

But the keet on the right is a Lavender keet, not a Blue... it will be a Lavender base color, fully pearled with polka dots when it matures.

Congrats on your hatching success so far!

I was just going by what was written on the eggs from the person we purchased them from!!!! It said BLUE on the egg!
