I want to know the same thing. I got a call from the gal down the road she is getting a dozen guinea eggs a day and if I want them free I can have them. soooo do they taste like chicken eggs and look like chicken eggs??

I'm overrun with ticks where I am and want some eggs BAD.

Can you get them and ship them? I'll pay for shipping/buy some from you.

I just bought some year old Guineas will be keeping them penned up would like to ring the bell to get them in at night and give them a little feed ... do you think ring the bell at night and feeding them for the next six weeks would train them so they will come when they hear the bell. thanks for your help

Guinea eggs are smaller darker in color and have thicker shells, but yes they are very good. They are a little richer in flavor.

I have found two of my guinea's eggs. Both have been "soft" shell. Is this because they are young and just started laying? Oh, and yes each was found in a different place.

and just found a hard-shell egg in their coop!

Soft shelled eggs are usually an indication of insufficient Calcium in their diet. You should be providing them with oyster shell offered as free choice.

Good luck.

What kind of feed are you giving them? Where ever you are getting it probably has oyster shell too.

I got mine from scratch and peck feed. They have oyster shell too, but your local tractor supply probably does too, or Amazon.

We have 9 guineas and I have no idea if they are male or female. They are about 4 months old and we just started letting them out tto free range for a few hours during the day. I also wondered what age they will start laying as I do hope I have a few girls in the bunch. They are so funny to watch and move together like a little army but they are quite chatty too.
