SO I have some guinea fowl eggs and have had them incubation for about a day but Im confused about the humidity. Ive re3ad online that it should be 65% RH but I feel thats rather high. if this is not right what should it be, also is it possible to hatch under a broody chicken? will results be ok this way?

Thanks Nick

Sixty-five percent humidity would be high for me to use during the incubation stage. For lockdown, I shoot for 60% to 70% but during incubation I like to go for somewhere in the low 30% range. Just because I like to use those ranges of humidity doesn't mean that will be the best for you.

I gave my broody hen 10 guinea eggs last year and she hatched all 10 eggs on day 26.

I've hatched over 100 guineas and lost only about 3 so far. I've heard that my hatching rate is incredible. I always keep mine around 55 humidity until pipped and then raise it to 65. Also it depends on if you have a still air or circulated. Mine is circulated air.

I agree. 45 to 55% for incubation, 65% for hatching.
