Guinea fowl kill ducks?

Did my guineas kill my 2 khaki Campbell (I think female) ducks. All birds are 12 weeks old . Brooded together. I hatched these ducks and bought the keets. They were always free ranging together.

This morning I had 4 ducks and 6 Guinea fowl. The Guinea fowl were harassing one or two ducks this morning. I just got home and found two dead ducks in their run.

The birds can free range all day, I just leave the run door open. I close the run at night and the guineas are usually in their tree already. The run is near the house where the dogs hang out so I don't think it was a predator.

Advice please. Are the guineas getting sexually mature? I'm north of Edmonton AB , I thought they wouldn't measure until spring. I think the guineas are 1 or 2 female with 4 or 5 males. I think the ducks were 2 female 2 male.

Found the 3rd duck. Up to now I had only seen 1. My dog may have dragged it over to here, but I think it would have eaten most of it if she had killed the duck. Body about 50 ft from run. Or it was killed here in a 2nd murder by the guineas.

I would say highly unlikely. If you have a game camera, put it up then you should be able to find out if it's the guineas or something else.

Not the guineas. Sadly, it looks as though your poor ducks were briefly gripped, squeezed and shaken to death. The wound pictured looks like a fang rip to me.

Angry guineas go for the head and peck HARD. Your ducks would be half-scalped if it had been them. (Not to mention that your guineas are way too young to behave so aggressively and would lack the strength to kill any duck, even if they wanted to.)

Thank you for your thoughts. Unfortunately that sounds like my dog might be the culprit then. I just expected her to start eating it.
