Raison
In the Brooder
I hope someone can guide me. We have a second property in VT and would love to have chickens etc but we are not always here to feed them. Free range guineas seem like a nice compromise.
So my plan is to raise the keets at my house in DE until they are old enough to be out side. I have a chicken coop up here that I can put them in for a bit, but eventually I would like them to roost in a three sided animal structure that is in the other side of the creek. (I think this might keep them away from the road).
My question is how do I train them to roost at the animal shelter? Are they safe in there is i out roosting bars up at a certain height? What height?
Obviously this all new to me so any and all suggestions are very welcome.
