Hi everyone!

I was planning to get guinea keets this summer and I was wondering if there is anything important I should know about them? I've never had them before, so I've been doing some crazy research on 'em. Any advice for a beginner?

Train them to a call or whistle so they know when they are being fed

Okay. I do that with my chickens, so that should be easy. Do they ever lay in nest boxes?

Mine prefer to lay on the floor of the coop or in bushes

Mine are very can be very fussy about laying. Sometimes they nest with chickens and sometimes in bushes. Last weekend I found one in a gateway but I don't think it was planned as there is still snow on the ground so very early

Okay. I was sorta hoping they would lay in the nest boxes... I guess guineas do what they want when they want! Looks like I'll have to search the fields for my eggs, now!
