Does anyone know where I can get them or have any recommendations? I was hoping to get a half dozen to a dozen to hatch for my aunt for spring. She's been really helpful to me and her flock has dwindled to just three birds, all male, so I thought I'd surprise her with some keets, but all I can find are eggs that cost an arm and a leg from hatcheries. Does anyone know of anyplace that sells good quality eggs at reasonable prices? Does anyone here sell them? Any advice is appreciated :)

Guineas generally lay from April through September, so few (if any) would be laying right now.

You can try advertising on your local Craigslist next spring. "Wanted to buy: fertile Guinea hatching eggs" I've had some pretty good luck with Craigslist, both buying and selling. Your hatch rates will be higher if the eggs are not shipped.

I've also found Guineas to be fairly easy to hatch (easier than chicks anyway). I've also had good luck putting 15 guinea eggs under an Orpington hen. I was concerned that the hen would step on them (they're smaller and more delicate than chicks when young), but they were fine. I took them away from the hen and raised them myself after the hatch was done (about 24 hours). I would of liked to leave them with her, but the barn cats were eye-balling them too much...
