Guinea hen went missing last week !!!!!

Last week my Guinea Hen went missing and the two boys
never made their normal squawking so I was thinking a
Bob-Cat had gotten her but after checking the yard I could
not find any drag marks and I have shoot two Bob-Cats in
the last month on the property so I looked under all the
sheds and in all the bushes and nothing but I do have a
6 foot fence around the entire property so I was thinking
as normal she had jumped over to eat some bugs and was
not ever coming back but then later this afternoon she
shows up and was back with the boys and none of them
were making a sound and I thought that was off for them
as that is all they do but I went in the house for a moment
and when I came back she was gone again and I did
not get to see the direction she went and the boys were
just sitting on the front porch all nice and quiet .....

She more than likely has a nest somewhere, if you can find it you may want to put a pen around her to protect her from predators.

Well this is what I was thinking she had a nest but in all my checking around the yard I could not find a nest or her and these Guinea really make a lot of noise all the time and even the boys are dead quiet but nether of them are giving away her position by visiting her at all as I have been trying to watch them and all they are doing is hanging around a goose that is sitting on some egg's

It takes something like 28 days to hatch out kits right so I am afraid something will find her as this might be the desert but there are a lot of predators out here and being spring time a lot of them predators are looking for something to eat so I am hopping she is in the yard at least ......

Well I found her Nest and took some photos of it .....





Can you see anything yet ....








Then I will take a steep forward .......









Now you see the nest ,,,, Wile I was counting I was not paying attention to papa and he jumped on my back and tore my shirt and my back so I learned I need to watch out around the nest but I did manage to count to 20 egg's before I was rudely interrupted for being rude to momma guinea ....

That would be great as I am always loosing them and I only buy a couple each year and they keep down the bugs and chase off the Bob-Cats and that is how I loose them but she or should I say these are the first ones to live almost a year .....

The Guinea have scared off or helped me catch more of these
and loose less chickens then any thing else I have tried ....
