Guinea Keet Saga :)

OMG I'm so glad you found it! Do you have a brooder with a heat lamp so it can regulate its own temperature? Or maybe even a heating pad you can put at one end of a brooder? I would continue to try to give it a little water every hour or so if you can. Make sure the water is warm since its already chilled. You might also try putting some warm water on a bit of food and see if it can eat that. It might be easier than dry crumble.

Keep us posted.

Well, just to let you all know....I have the baby back in custody and behind bars all safe and sound! (Behind the bars of a bird cage, that is! LOL)

Here are some photos of the little rascal, you can see by the bright eyes that it is doing good so far! Love this baby, and it is going to be so pampered!!!!

Thanks to all of you for all your help!!!

*hugs*

Yes, it's lavender! Sweet little baby, and I guess I get too attached to these things, at least my daughter tells me I do!
The adults I bought were regular spotted, pearl guineas....but I got there late and the man had sold most of his stuff and was fixing to leave.
I can't wait to see what he/she is going to look like when grown!
Yes, I do have a heat lamp, and I use a medicine dropper to water he/she! LOL
Started giving boiled egg yolk last night and that was gobbled up!
So goes the baby guinea saga! LOL

Make sure you are giving her a high protein crumble as well.

My guineas are 8 weeks old and white, lavender, pearl, and purple, and really I think the pearl are the prettiest! I like how they have a lot of detail and complexity to their coloring. Of course, all of them are getting pretty ugly in the head. My husband and I think they look like dinosaurs.

I think they look like the doll on the "Saw" movies, LOL
I have 3 pearl guineas, one is about half grown and the only one I have raised so far.
I really like them, love their 'dialogue' when you are out around them, it is so different!

Oh for sure! I have just been petting her a lot! She flutters her wings when I go in and start talking to her. Now I will try the mirrors! I have some more chicks and some more keets due to hatch the end of this week though! I just didn't think of the mirrors, thank you!!!
