Guinea Male Thread

My male is a coral blue. His name is Cloudy and he is 6 years old. When he was a couple days old a a scrub jay tried to steal him. It picked him up and when it was about a foot or two in the air it dropped him because he was too heavy. Up until he was 3 he was afraid of the jays but after that he hates them and chases them whenever he sees them.
His soulmate is a royal purple. They grew up together and when he can't see her he goes crazy, running around looking for her and screaming. He HATES bright colors, baggy clothes, loud noises and fast moving things. I always want to record him when he is trying to attack the things he hates. I have to lock him in the coop every time I now the lawn or plow the land.

I will try and find a prettier picture of him.

I can't find a picture of his woman but here is one of his daughter Cirrus (we thought she was a boy until the inevitable 'buckwheat').

And here is one of my silver button quail Kili, who thinks she is their baby and is now starting to make guinea fowl sounds. I swear, we were coddling Cloudy and Brownie when suddenly we heard that guinea fowl alert call. You know the one that they do when a bird flies over, the Weeee weeeeh weeeet one. Well we only have those two guineas and we thought maybe a neighbor got some when we realized it came from the quail pen. It was so loud I was shocked tiny Kili could do that. I have to record her doing it.

Whatchadoin mum?

This is 'Pretty Blue' with his girls. After months of bitter cold and snow they finally had a sunny day to get out of the henhouse this spring.

My two Buff Dundotte males with their Pearl hens. They are both named 'Sandy' since I can't tell them apart!
