What did it taste like? Can you explain? It looks kind of plastic and tough.

Some other countries eat horses and dogs! I don't think so!!! I believe they are even butchering peoples horses on the spot and selling their meat on the blk market. With all the meat animals we have here. How about nutra, opossum, coon, mudbugs and crabs... Come south HA!HA! If you want something different-take a trip to New Orleans. How about snappen turtle soup, fried frog leggs. good ole fried gator....Gumbo!!!

It was chewy, I think from the way it was prepared. It did not have a bad taste, but I did not eat much. But I did want to try it since I was there, and did not want to offend the hosts.

It was not like squirrel or rabbit, but not sure how to describe it.

Oh goodness, I am a piggie lover and I kind of want to puke!

It is true they eat them in peru, but gosh did they need to put the apple in it's mouth?

poor piggies!

All animals are food sources in one form or another...and presentation is everything

The apple in the pigs mouth is very good to eat with the meat. We stuff the cavaties with apples and oranges too - and will with the suckling pig we roast this weekend. It really is good to eat.

I've been looking for a suckling pig, like a 10-15 pounder and the only thing you can get through butchers here is 35 pounds. That is the smallest! How big is your suckling pig?

I think she is around 20 pounds...Looks that way at least, we haven't officially weighed her yet.

If you find a local pig farmer you can get suckling pigs from them. Just give them your # and have them call you when they have a litter ready and usually you can pick out the one you want.

I can't remember what it is, but guinea pigs aren't supposed to have rabbit pellets. I think it is the vitamin C? Rabbit pellets don't have vit. C added, and guinea pigs need that. Other than that, I don't know, I just know I've heard not to feed them the same.
