Guinea roosting....

My Guinea hens started roosting on top of the coop instead of in it. They will go into the coop during the day some but at dark they fly to the top.

Is this normal? I have placed 2x4 roost about 8 feet off the ground for them in the coop, I feed them and water them in the coop.

Why do they not like the coop? Oh, they do share it with a few chickens, does that matter?

I think they just have natural instinct to go higher. My guineas do that too. I poke them down with a stick so they know they have to go home. They go home more when I'm outside and I'm putting food in the coop at dusk.
