Guineas let me know when there's a disturbance in the Force, lol. My daughter asked if she could re-home mine when she lived with me and was working nights. I kept mine in a tractor, since I live right on a state highway and didn't want squished guineas. Being confined made them even louder. I had one female that I was sure breathed through her ears so she could " buckwheat " ALL day.
Now DD has her own house, and we bought a farm back off a gravel road. I bought 10 keets that I'm raising with chicks. They are already at the farm. ( we move in August)
I got the guineas for tick control and DH is mostly deaf, so I won't get any complaints this time.
I have a bantam roo up at the farm too. He doesn't attack people, but tries to kill my BEI drakes if he can get to them. I can hardly wait for my new keets to grow up and give him an attitude adjustment, because they will.
DUH! I just noticed that you were in the Little Flower parish. So, you're right "in" town, then. Is Indy allowing chickens these days? Years ago, when I lived in Indy, a few people kept chooks on the down-low. I can see why you'd want to keep your neighbor from complaining.
