I had the guineas out yesterday & around 1 pm they started screaming and I could hear they flew further down in the yard. I ran out to see where they were going & they were heading into the woods. Just in front of them I saw a red fox through the brush. After turning to look at me, he headed off through the woods. I was just surprised, as I only have 5 guineas! I had to go down the path in the woods to head them back out, as I was afraid they would follow the path down to the neighbors. I would never have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes!

That is TOO cool!! I can't wait to get my keets!! We have all sorts of predators around here for them to chase!

The same thing happened to me over the summer! It was so cool! I guess they can be intimidating when they get in a big group like that and make all that racket!

My guineas and peafowl will chase anything that they think is not going to harm them foxes, coons, deer etc..But when they feel threatened they high tail it home via the airways.

How cool! That makes me rest a bit easier knowing that my guineas will alert me if they see a "fox in the henhouse"!

I have swans on my pond and they are very aggressive about getting rid of the Canada geese (YEAH!!). This spring I'm noticing that they are tag teaming it with my guineas! The swans drive the geese out onto the shore and the guineas barrage them with shrieks and charges until they fly off. I swear to you that the first time it happened those geese were in shock...you could almost see them thinking, "What the heck ARE those little purple birds with the ridiculously large lungs????" Love it!
