Getting Guinee’s? We live on two acres in the mountains. We had a massacre from neighbors dogs with our first batch of chickens but now fenced in and haven’t had issue since. Now my fence only on one side is shared with new boyfriends wolf dogs. My fence is five foot tall. If they go over are they smart enough to get away? I planned on getting flock as chicks along with chickens. Plan on keeping them coupes for couple months with wings clipped before they go out.

You think they would fly back. Plan on keeping them coupled up first couple months.
I kept my youngins in their flight cage until 3 weeks ago. They were 8 months. They come back to the cage at night and I lock them in. Each morning they are let out to free range in the many acres of woods around. They will be gone a time, show up and then disappear for a length of time. This happens numerous times in the day. But when it gets close to dusk, they show up to go in. Trained them to come by giving them a snack of mealworms and close them in.
