Guish string stuck to newly hatched chick

I hatched my first chick today but it has a guish thing stuck to him. Does anyone know what it is ?? I’m new to this. Should I take the chick out and cut it ?? Is it safe to?

Leave him be. That's his cord, very normal, it will dry up and fall off within a few hours. Don't intervene.
