One of my hens makes a gurgling sound at night while on the roost. She never makes the sound during the day, only at night. Is this something or just a weird thing?

Is she purring? I was amazed when I found out chickens purr! LOL. Might not be the same in your case, but I am quite new to chickens and I had a black wyandotte I thought was sick because of a noise I heard her make on the roost. Turns out she was purring! LMAO I was worried for nothing...

That might be it, because in every other respect she seems fine.
