Gus can't walk!

Yeah, in the water he's using both legs now. He was only using one before, so I think it's helping, but just a very slow process. And, yep, I've been rubbing his legs and anywhere under the feathers that feels like is leg related, he seems to like to it, he'll close his eyes and snuggle up in my hand, and is very agreeable to rolling on his side if I do it on the grass. I've found that if you kind of rub inside that joint, he'll stretch his legs on his own, and I stretch out his feet for him and try to get him to stand so that he can tolerate weight bearing, hopefully soon.
Good sounds like progress even if slow, but progress is progress! Just keep doing what your doing. Hopefully with giving him a larger dose you'll noticed improvement in the next couple of days.

I found that doubling the dose really helped Gus. It seemed like he was recovering and then would sort of plateau with his progress I doubled his dose and he really took off! I would maybe try that. I gave him 3 500mg capsules (opened up) in his drinking water and it seemed to do the trick. Anyways Gus is actually a bit taller than Lucy now and he's been taking treats from me the last few days. I have seen a ton of progress from him lately.

They are exactly one month apart. Lucy was hatched March 31 and Gus was hatched April 30.
He sure has caught up after going through set back he had. They are so pretty. My 2 are going through molt when I went out to check on everyone when we got home from church Looked like someone had plucked my gander he had lost so many feathers all over the ground,

I think Lucy is going through a molt as well she loses feathers like crazy. It's fine though because I love the way they look all feathered out after a molt.
