Gutter and rain barrel?

Does anybody have a gutter for their chicken coop, that empties into a rain barrel? If so, do you direct that water to your chickens, or just to the garden? My coop is going to have a very simple, shed-style roof over the whole thing (coop and run); I was thinking of running a gutter along the back, hidden edge of the roof and putting a rain barrel back there...

I'm planning to put some crude gutters on our house and run. I don't know yet if we'll use the water for the hens or the garden. Maybe both.

I'm interested to see what others do!

Our new coop is about a week from being finished and the final plans include a gutter and water barrel. Not sure if we'll use it for the chickens but definitely will for the garden.

I was planning to put gutters on our coop, but was only planning the water for the kitchen garden. I guess you could use it for the chickens as well.
