Guys are lucky (kind of a rant - I think its sorta funny)

Men have "cycles" too, its just different (and not as complicated as ours!). But, they get emotional too...just differently. Trust me!

I started marking down DHs mood swings and there is a pattern. He gets cranky and irritable...everything upsets him and he just wants to hide from everyone. Sound familiar? I figure I can't complain since I can relate. Apparently he and guys had a talk at work about their mood "cycles" and hormonal issue. Definitely not the conversation I expected guys to have!

I try to make the best of it, Banty. For one whole week during the month my hubby is about halfway afraid of me and I can get by with just about anything. Besides, being a woman isn't so bad. I find that a charming word and a smile will get mountains moved for us when we put our minds to it.

Well you have to look at the bright side of being a woman you have the uncanning ability to get out of traffic tickets and yes we men have days through the month that yes women SHOULD leave us alone no we are not mad or ticked off we just want to be left alone

When I was in highschool most of my buds were guys, less complicated that way. Now then, if you get a few camisoles or some workout type bras and wish to use those as a means of cooling I do not see why it would matter. I used to do alot of 3-5 mile hikes in summer, middle of nowhere and more than once I would do chunks sans shirt, no one cared.

Also the other day while riding in the car w/my best guy friend, I found out he gets extra freedoms if his parents think we are dating. I on the other had get next to no freedoms if our parents think we are dating. FYI: We aren't dating he just likes the extra freedoms. ......How is that fair?

I had a friend who was in a similar position, he was shy and if his dad thought he was going on a date he could stay out later and use the nice car, if it was to go hang out with his buds it was an old el camino (held together by rust) and be back by 9). I ended up going to his prom because his mom was worried he didn't have a GF at 17, and he basically needed something in a dress to take a photo with (that sounded bad, I know, love the guy like a brother, still talk 15 years later). Would his parents be worried something is amiss if he doesn't have a GF?

I feel your pain on the whole monthly thing right now.

I for one dislike being a girl and think guys really DO have it easy.
Men may have to do the hard labour jobs, but they sure get paid enough to do them. A man with zero education and experience can go be a rebar guy, a roofer, or a carpenters helper and earn more than enough money to easily support himself. He can get an apprenticeship and earn money while he goes to school for 24 weeks to get his trade ticket.
An inexperienced, non educated woman can go make $8 an hour as a cashier and not even be able to make rent on a bachelor suit apartment. She can go to a career college to be an office assistant and have trouble finding work because everyone wants 2 years experience, and even then the job will still have a starting wage of a whopping $11 an hour, compared to the $25 an hour the guy gets once he gets his trade ticket.
Sure women can earn as much as men, but first mommy and daddy have to pay their way through university first, and then they can go to school for 4 years to get their bachelor degree, and THEN they can earn the same wage as the bonehead guy who went to trade school for 24 weeks.
Er, I think I'm feeling a bit grumpy right now. For my excuse, see the very first sentence at the top.

Just wait till you have kids and you are home all day long and never talk to ANYONE and then he gets home and just want to have some time to chill...

totally understandable after being 'out there' all day working. But still...

But I love my life, my kids and my husband.

And I guess we are pretty traditional, me at home and him working.

answer me this.. Would you really take your shirt off in front of a lot of people? Would you mow the lawn with your fat hairy gut hanging out while people drive down the road can see and be grossed out?.. The difference is the sexes, it's not likely a guy would have to deal with rape or someone would go all "Goo-goo" over him when he takes his shirt off. A woman.. Well think about it.

True. Very true. Maybe if it wasn't made into such a big deal it'd be fine... who knows? It's just one of those things that gets to me on hot days (like yesterday).

You know, the only thing I miss about our old house was the nudity...

We lived like a mile from the nearest road, and we could see pretty far off if someone was coming, so I would run around outside topless all the time. SO NICE in the summer!
