Usually there is an entry form with rules in it. Most say 4-5 months.

My opinion is right at 20 weeks because that is when they are fully mature and have a new set feathers and should be in top form. I do show my birds......

Make sure you have all the regs. Some states require NPIP documentation and some also require certain vaccinations to be exhibited.

Your best bet would be to contact your local 4H group and see if they would know. I am sure some states are different. We did not show chickens so I am not sure but I know the 4H leaders should know or be able to give you the name and number for the state fair regulators. Our state fair is always in August so that would be fine for us. Good luck. Jenn
