Gypsy Has Finally Done It....

Cute!

Gypsy is beautiful too Cyn, so at least she is a beautiful appendage.

I thought my EE, Hawkface, was just an odd bird. I had read/heard that the EE breeds weren't too keen on being held. Hawkface seems to love it, though she talks up a storm when I first pick her up. After about 30 seconds she quiets right down and closes her eyes. I never would have guessed chickens could be so sweet. I told my husband that my chickens are my favorite pets, I like them even more than the dogs. He just laughed because he knows it's true.

Gypsy's mother, Charlotte, is the same way, though she doesn't insist on being held quite as much as her daughter. Snow will chatter and do a little shuffle to get you to pick her up, too, so the BBS Ameraucanas are very friendly birds and good layers, too. My younger blue girl, Nora, is a bit of an eccentric. She does on occasion let you pick her up, but generally, she can take it or leave it.

Gypsy is special, she even became my appendage for a bit when I was there. LOL I told Cyn if she ever got rid of her I wanted her. She is fiercely loving. She was molting when I was there. Gloria Jean

enjoy her you lucky girl! I'm hoping my two d'uccles (Barney and Thelma Lou) will be that way. What is the BBS stand for... is it blue/black/splash?
